I wanted it to record all phone calls no matter what phone in the location was picked up but it only records from the phone connected to the device.
Answer:
Yup, the MTR you asked about earlier is only going to record calls on the phone its connected to (as you have figured out). To accomplish what you want you need to get a different device. Here it is:
