it's a pity that the battery life on the coat hook is so short

Thank you for your reply - it's a pity that the battery life on the coat hook is so short. I need a covert camera with a longer battery life, but space is limited. The coat hook camera suits the aesthetic needs - namely that it's not obvious nor bulky - but the short battery life makes it nearly useless to me.

I need something covert, easily installed/uninstalled, with a battery life that doesn't require constant access to the device - it's not much use as a covert camera if I've always got to be fussing with it, yes?

Thanks for any recommendations,

Answer:

Long battery life usually means bulk. Here is the smallest one I've got that with long life batteries:

Motion Activated Mini Spy Camera
8 Day battery life in standby with optional plug in power via adapter, PIR motion detection, 640 x 480 res. Mac and Windows 8 compatible

Price: $169.95 View Details

It's small but not disguised as something else. Although its size lends to being hidden.

We have almost 100 different types of cameras. What type of environment are you planning to put this device into? Home, business, kitchen, living room, office warehouse etc.? That will help narrow the options considerably.

Here is a good option for the typical home:

Travel Clock Spy Camera - Wide Angle
120 degree lens, high res 1280 x 720 color video powered by AC adapter or rechargeable battery, about the size of a cell phone

Price: $169.95 View Details

Air Freshener Spy Camera - Stone
Motion activated recording - stores video to micro SD card (up to 64 GB)- 10, 30 or 90 hr. battery options

Price: $299.95 View Details
