What format must I format the hard drive

ZMD-DC-SBN6 Price: $189.95 Hello. What format must I format the hard drive, if I already have one I would like to use? Also, are there any additonal costs to operate-the internet upload or viewing, or anything else I should know? installing this at a not-for-profit and they will blame me for any surprises. Thanks
Answer:   The DVR will automatically reformat whatever disk you physically install in to it. It uses Linux as its OS by the if you are interested.
