Here is a setup that would allow you to view and control 4 cameras using your flat screen TV:
1. The video cameras feed the video to the DVR (the receiver has 4 AV outputs on the back)
2. The DVR records the video
3. The DVR is connected to the internet via your router
4. You access the video over the internet via your TV screen (if you have a web browser on your TV)
5. You can copy the video from your DVR to your computer and then burn a DVD if you want
