I found out something new today!

 

Both these phone recording units will record all land line calls regardless of which room the unit is located in. Meaning you could plug the unit into the phone jack in the kitchen and automatically record every call made (or answered) in every other room of the house.

Ok I had the guys put one of the MCPro to test last week. 

 

Fully charged, on Motion activation with no motion being seen it lasted about  five days.  It was activated Tuesday at 9:30 am and I know it was still running Friday evening when I left.  As of this morning it was dead so it must have run out of battery between 6pm Friday and Monday morning. 

 

Since most cameras of this sort only last about 10 hours on a battery charge I think 3-5 days is a significant accomplishment. This item strikes me as a good  balance of cost and performance.
