The recorded files are in .AVI which can be played on any computer including a Mac.
However, the Coat Hook Hidden Camera cannot be directly connected to a Mac via the USB. Plus, the SD card will be in a format that may not be accessible to your Mac. The trick is getting the files on your Mac. Once they are there you can play them.

This set up would allow you to add up to 4 cameras on the single receiver pictured above. You can connect the receiver to either a TV screen via A/V or a computer via USB. Note: it has multiple other features like internet access and recording which you may or may not need.

Answer: Do you need the microphone to be in location A and the recorder to be in location B? If so then 3 hours is actually very good for a battery powered wireless transmitter. You'll be hard pressed to do better. If not you could go with a straight voice recorder, put it in the location you want to record, retrieve it later and play it back. The VRSLTW-MG will do both. But if you don't need a wireless transmission you'll save with just a straight recorder that is voice activated and has a long standby life… like so:
