Ok I had the guys put one of the MCPro to test last week. 

 

Fully charged, on Motion activation with no motion being seen it lasted about  five days.  It was activated Tuesday at 9:30 am and I know it was still running Friday evening when I left.  As of this morning it was dead so it must have run out of battery between 6pm Friday and Monday morning. 

 

Since most cameras of this sort only last about 10 hours on a battery charge I think 3-5 days is a significant accomplishment. This item strikes me as a good  balance of cost and performance.

The thermometer spy camera is great for outdoor situations. Its fully weatherproof and there are no wires or power cords needed!

 

It will do motion detection standby for up to 20 days or until it has recorded about 4 hours of video.  The more motion it sees the quicker the battery runs out.  If it only sees motion once every few days and for only a short amount of time it will last longer.

 

However when considering using this camera remember it is not intended for low light recording. To capture video it will need a light source nearby like a porch light.

Setting day stamps using military time

Military time is the most commonly used date stamping method for motion activated video. Basically there are 24 hours in a day starting at midnight which is zero. The zero is hard to remember as is the transition to PM hours.

The DVRG200 is worth a look!

Micro HD DVR with TFT Screen

The DVRG200 (like most things these days) is made in China. At Security & Self Defense Store we usually try to re-write the directions if they are really badly done. We have not yet re-written instructions for this hidden camera. We have sold lots of these in the past couple of months without any complaints or customer service issues.

 

Anything this small is going to have small buttons etc. and take a little getting used to in order to operate. But we offer free technical support.

 

Most people opt for the cheaper hidden cameras because they are only looking to catch someone once after which they don’t have much use for the camera. So, it’s a trade off… but a camera with a built=in monitor at this price is hard to beat. We think the DVRG200 is worth a look!
